SLAS Ignite

SLAS designed Innovation AveNEW to grant emerging start-up companies the opportunity to actively engage and participate in SLAS’s world-class event without paying exhibition fees, helping to grow and scale their business as well as directly connecting them with purchasing influencers and decision-makers from around the world. Innovation AveNEW companies gain valuable exposure for their products and service concepts in a specially-designated area on the Exhibition Floor.

Companies exhibiting in Innovation AveNEW will make brief presentations to a panel of judges who will bestow the SLAS Ignite Award, honoring the best start-up or emerging company. Judges will look at a combination of key concepts, marketing plan, presence, and potential; funding prospects; plan for growth, and the existence of balanced company leadership, among other qualities. The award will be presented during the Closing Keynote presentation on Wednesday, January 29, from 3:45 p.m., in room 6AB.

SLAS Ignite Academic Collaboration Presentations

SLAS Ignite Academic Collaboration Presentations will be held in the Ignite Theater at SLAS2020. These competitive presentations, specially selected by a judging panel, allow academic researchers and their institutions to showcase their research capabilities to an audience of prospective collaboration partners. Presentations are open to all attendees.

SLAS Ignite Partnership Program

Location: Connect online. Meet in the SLAS Booth.

The SLAS Ignite Partnership Program provides an online/in-app platform for contract relations and partnering professionals to find and meet with prospective academic partners. Here, attendees can connect with each other to generate discussions and meetings that could result in pioneering research or commercialization opportunities. Access to the Ignite Partnership Program will be available in January 2020.

The Discovering Your Value Proposition workshop provides teams across all levels in an organization with a validated tool to define, clarify and understand the value of an innovation effort to both their customers and their business that gives teams the confidence required to commit fully to the objective.
